LUCID (ToF) 3D Sensor
The EyeVision 3D software supports the LUCID Helios Time-of-Flight 3D sensor.
This allows, among other things, volume measurements, workstation monitoring, 3D object recognition, and much more. An important application is also the automatic loading and unloading of boxes on pallets by a robot.
How does 3D Time-of-Flight (TOF) work?
TOF cameras use technology similar to radar and are becoming increasingly common. The integrated illumination emits infrared pulses and the sensor measures the time it takes for the light to be reflected back.
