With the integration of the Precitec CHRocodile CLS 2 sensor in EyeVision 4.4, users now have two confocal sensors at their disposal. The Precitec sensor complements the existing LMI Gocator (55xx) and expands the possibilities for high-precision 3D measurements.

Easy integration and configuration

Like all supported sensors, the CHRocodile CLS 2 sensor can be easily selected in the EyeVision hardware configurator and used for scanning immediately. As usual, all parameters can be set intuitively in the EyeVision camera dialog so that users can start their tasks straight away without much effort.

Extended image acquisition options

The CHRocodile CLS 2 provides users with a new image acquisition option. The multilayer capabilities, high resolution and speed in particular open up new fields of application and enable precise inspections. The EyeVision software supports the multilayer evaluation of the sensor, allowing the smallest details and layer thicknesses to be reliably measured and inspected.

Technical highlights:

• Speed: Up to 36,000 lines per second guarantee extremely fast and efficient measurement cycles.
• Precision and detail accuracy: High point density of 21.6 million measuring points and lateral resolutions from 1 µm to 8.5 µm ensure extremely precise results.
• Measuring range: Flexible from 680 µm to 10,600 µm, depending on the optical sensor used.

With the integration of the CLS 2 sensor in EyeVision, all image evaluation algorithms of the EyeVision software are available for the data supplied by the sensor.
All other EV4.4 options are of course also available with this sensor, from drag-and-drop configuration to complete machine integration.
This means that the sensor software combination also makes it easy to create solutions for a wide range of tasks quickly and easily and to integrate them into a machine environment.
